Easy Dynamics Demos EasyBox at SharePoint Saturday DC

Easy Dynamics Demos EasyBox at SharePoint Saturday DCThis past Saturday, June 13, 2015, Easy Dynamics Corp was proud to sponsor and attend 2015 SharePoint Saturday DC at the Microsoft office building in Chevy Chase, Maryland. We enjoyed meeting and speaking with conference attendees about our first commercial product EasyBox, the only secure messenger for SharePoint. Use cases as correspondence management systems and as SharePoint adoption aides seemed to get the most user interest. We had a laugh with Adam Levithan, Product Manager at Metalogix Software, about interesting ways to spark conversations at our booth, as he suggested asking “What is your favorite soda?” Mine is Orange Fanta!

However, networking wasn’t the only benefit we gained as sponsors of this conference. Sessions on various SharePoint topics were eagerly attended by our staff, including our new intern class, throughout the day, and several of us got helpful advice to apply to our current SharePoint projects. Jitesh Nadimpalli, Senior Intern, said that the “highlight of the event was the very first lecture… on how to create external lists using SharePoint BCS through the SharePoint Designer.” Because it related closely to his current project work at EDC, this session was the most useful to him.

Azam Abdulkadir and Patrick Forde, Interns, shared enthusiasm for the Office 365: Taking Your Business to the Cloud session. Though Abdulkadir is a developer, he enjoyed hearing “about the features of Azure and how Microsoft is differentiating itself from the competition.” Forde discovered “more of the security of the cloud and how it can be beneficial to a business” to be the more interesting section of the course.

New to the SharePoint community is Marshall Stukes, Easy Dynamics’ newest developer, who said the REST workshop was exciting “since REST is also new to Sharepoint, it was nice to see how grabbing data was done before, and learning why the switch happened.” The SPSDC event hosted intermediate to advanced-level sessions that provided all participants with unique learning experiences and networking opportunities. Easy Dynamics loved spending last Saturday with likeminded SharePoint masters and can’t wait to see how our knowledge and skillsets will grow because of it!
